I first met Krystle when she taught me guitar. I was looking for a teacher with a solid music education that could teach me a variety of aspects of guitar playing and the theory of music. Krystle surpassed all my expectations. She has deep knowledge of music, and a calm and pleasant disposition that makes learning fun and enjoyable.  I immediately picked her to also be my daughter’s teacher for flute and guitar. My daughter loved her private classes with Krystle so much that she was disappointed every time they ended, and asked for more time, and later on asked to include voice. She thrived and with Krystle’s help managed to learn a very hard flute piece to audition for her school’s advanced band, which she was admitted to. As a parent, I particularly appreciate the fact that Krystle knows how to balance taking music seriously while ensuring that it still remains fun to learn. We would have happily stayed with Krystle for as long as we could, and although we know she will be successful in her new ventures, we will miss her dearly as our music teacher.

Krystle is a true gem of a music teacher!  My whole family genuinely adores her.  My son took guitar lessons from her for two years starting at age 9.  Krystle knew how to connect with my son and draw out his interests and keep the feedback loop on his progress positive such that he never felt discouraged (like he does when I try to give him feedback).  Krystle’s confident, yet calm, pleasant and down-to-earth demeanor was looked forward to each week by both my son and I.  Krystle’s feedback to me on my son’s progress after each lesson was always helpful, realistic, and professional.  Krystle’s knowledge and experience is apparent in her work.  Her true love of music is a joy to observe and hear in her performances and also in the way she speaks about music with sincere enthusiasm for its history and different styles.  Krystle’s breadth of experience with other instruments as well (ukulele, piano, strings) enabled us to give my reluctant younger son positive exposure to music education and also enabled my older son to gather some helpful feedback in preparing for his school orchestra audition.  Krystle is extremely organized and always followed up in a timely fashion on anything we inquired about or requested.  We have had five other music teachers and none have come close to comparing to the quality of the experience we got with Krystle.
